Once you’ve met Brian Vickers, it’s hard not to cheer for the guy. While he didn’t win this race, he did win the NASCAR Busch Series Championship later that season.

Vickers is currently sidelined from racing by health issues, but continues to be a well-respected presence in the Sprint Cup garage.
