I interviewed Mike Magnuson in 2002, and it’s still one of the most memorable interviews I’ve ever conducted. Magnuson talks — and writes — in a way that is more true-to-life than most would dare. Seven years later, in fact, a friend was telling a rather embarrassing story about his drumming buddy “Mike from Eau Claire,” and I recognized the same story from one of Magnuson’s books.
