Before becoming a freelance writer, Leah spent six years working professionally for one of the largest health and wellness-related nonprofit organizations in the US. At the YMCA of Middle Tennessee, she provided verbiage for marketing and philanthropic campaigns.

Since that time, she’s written search engine-optimized website content, blogs, and patient information packets about a wide variety of health concerns.

In addition to writing about medical conditions, Leah has also done extensive writing about healthcare systems around the world. She has been interviewed as an expert on healthcare on Australian television, as well as completed a substantial amount of writing on the Australian system through The Hospitals Contribution Fund of Australia. In 2012, she co-authored an ebook explaining the Affordable Care Act and the impact it could have on freelancers.
